多层次体验：Gradation in the Forest 住宅

项目“森林的层次”是避暑山庄森林中的房子。森林由日本落叶松树组成，轮廓笔直垂直，房屋平静而疏朗地矗立在森林中。这座 "森林中的渐变 "的房子，被做成了一个小空间的集合体，仿佛房子可能会融进森林的环境中。所以，为了让居住环境变得丰富，准备了各种空间。

“Gradation in the Forest” is the house in the forest of a summer resort. The forest is composed of Japanese larch trees with straight vertical silhouettes, and the houses stand calmly and sparsely in the forest. This house, “Gradation in the Forest”, is made as a collection of small spaces, as if the house might melt into the environment of the woods. So, various spaces were prepared in order to make living environment rich.

在 "森林的层次"中，空间的质量逐渐发生了变化，正如M.C.Escher的 "变形 "图所示。在这所房子里，具有各种特征的空间，存在着边界模糊的不断变化的过程。许多空间分别保持了每个空间的独特特征。而且，许多空间是平滑地缝合在一起的。所以，空间的边界可能会被融化。这一原则体现在设计的各个方面，如空间的连接方式、结构方式、饰面材料、窗户、墙体和屋顶等。

In“Gradation in the Forest”, a gradual change of the quality of spaces has been made, as having been shown in the picture of "Metamorphosis" by M.C. Escher. In this house, the spaces, having various characteristics, exist as the process of continuous changes with ambiguous boundaries. Many spaces have maintained respectively the unique characteristics of each space. Moreover, many spaces are smoothly sewn together. So, the boundaries of spaces may be melted away. This principle is reflected in each aspects of the design, such as connection methods of spaces, structural methods,finishing materials, windows, walls and roofs etc.

此外，建筑的轮廓是由各种立方体的排列和位置决定的。设计师想让单元空间既有重复性的离心特性，又有独立性的向心特性。不同的立方体有不同的结构方式和不同的装饰材料，因此设计意图是放大每个区域的特点。

Moreover, the outline of the building is decided by the arrangement and the placement of various cubes. I would like to give the unit space both the centrifugal character with repeatability and the centripetal character with independence. Different cubes have different structural methods and different finishing materials. My design has the intention to amplify the characteristic of each area.
