The island is located far out in the Stockholm archipelago. The five new buildings are situated in a valley which is an extension of a protected bay. The roofs slope has the same direction as the mountain shape and is covered with grass. The facades are clad with various broad standing panels of wood painted with traditional black color
房屋内部用松木夹板覆盖。岛上没有水电，所以所有的住宅楼都用壁炉取暖。
On the inside the houses is covered with pine plywood. The island has no electricity or water so all residential buildings are heated by fireplaces.
