将废弃谷仓改造成艺术家工作室

项目名为“艺术家的工作室”，建在冰岛Skarðsströn的前农场区域，这里曾经是一个谷仓，俯瞰冰岛西部的 Breiðafjörður 自然保护区。

The artist studio at Hlöðuberg at Skarðsströnd is situated on a former farm overlooking the Breiðafjörður Nature Reserve in western Iceland.

“我们的目标是构思一个既可以容纳艺术家工作室，也可以作为家的设计。我们保留了谷仓相对稳定的混凝土结构。谷仓中用于新建的部分有厚厚的混凝土墙。但用来建造封闭花园的墙壁很脆弱，而且没有地基。”

Our brief was to conceive a design that would house an artist studio as well as a home for the owners. We kept what was possible of the relatively stable concrete structure of the barn. The part of the barn where we placed the new volume has a thick concrete wall but the walls where we made an enclosed garden are fragile and without foundations.

“在原始混凝土结构的底层，我们只在必要的地方增加开口，因为墙壁没有过多的支撑，进一步开放会损害结构。只增加了两个新的开口：一个让更多的光线进入厨房，另一个则创造了一个连接起居室和工作室的入口，用以放置大型的艺术品。”Bua工作室如是说。

On the ground floor within the original concrete structure, we made opening sonly where it was necessary because the walls are not rein forced and opening further would compromise the structure. We added two new openings to get more light into the kitchen and an entrance to the studio, to get in large artworks.

底层被设想为一个包含艺术家工作室、厨房和餐厅的工作空间。内部使用了抛光的的混凝土地板，墙壁和固定家具则覆盖着染色的桦木胶合板。

The ground floor was conceived to be a workspace containing an artist studio, kitchen and dining space. For the interior surfaces we used an exposed concrete floor and stained birch plywood on the walls and fixed furniture.

一楼的设计采用柔和的色调，灵感来自当地本土室内设计。由于采用了新的木框架结构，楼上的空间使用方式更加自由，因此开窗更大，与可以俯瞰海滩和峡湾的起居室开窗相当。

On the first floor we maintained a palette inspired by local vernacular interiors. Upstairs we were freer because of the new timber frame structure, so the openings are larger like the one in the sittingroom overlooking the beach and the fjord.
