在方案的最初，

我们想表达的是一个“延续不断”的概念，

In the initial design,

we want to express the concept of "continuity",

源于“事物螺旋上升发展”的哲学。

Originated from the philosophy of "the spiral development of things".

但经过多次深化方案的推敲，

从渐变、到镂空、再到扭曲，

我们不管用什么样的形式语言，

还是没能找到一个概念和形式的平衡点，

But after repeated reconsideration of the deepening plan many times,

from gradation, to hollow-carved, to distortion,

Whatever formal language we use,

A balance top between concept and form has never been found,

可以说这是一个几乎夭折的设计。

It can be said that this is a design that almost died.

多次的碰壁心情难免低落，

为了能更加专注地创作这个方案，

我们尝试用音乐来帮助寻找灵感。

Repeated failures depressed me,

In order to be more focused on creating this project,

We decided to use music to get inspiration.

感谢肖邦的《雨滴》所带来的启示，

我们找到了主观的意象物——时间。

Thanks to the enlightenment brought by Chopin’s “Raindrops”,

We have found the objective imagery-time.

时间这个东西包含了：

阔别的分离、成长的递进、

生死的正负、生命的延续。

有了时间的四个意象形式，我们尝试

Time includes:

the separation of long parted, the going forward of growth,

the positive and negative of life and death, the continuation of life.

With the four image forms of time, we tried to

用参数化的表皮去表达。

express by using parametric skin.

当然在这四个方案之中，

我们更希望它符合时代中国的审美：

简练、抽象、有趣。

Of course, among these 4 programme,

We hope it more meet the aesthetic of Times China:

Concise, abstract and interesting.

方案从二月深化至五月，

经过多次形态类比和参数化推敲，

最终“延续”成为了首选方案：

每层8度、堆叠20层、跨越⌒圆周，

The programme was reconsidered repeatedly from February to May,

After many morphological analogies and parametric deliberation,

Eventually "continuation" became the best choice:

8 degrees per layer, 20 layers stacked, cross ⌒ circumference,

它代表着时间无限的循环。

It stands for the infinite circulate of time.

推敲三个月的方案终于选定，

但制作阶段还有许多难题需要我们解决。

The final programme was finally formed after three-month consideration,

However, there are still many problems in the production stage need solving.

首先碰到的问题是：

要将每一层的转折收缝都做到挺立垂直，

还要高度相等，并且弧度完美，

一开始我们选用铸造的方法处理，

The first problem is that:

the turning and seam of each layer should be made upright and vertical,

in the same height and have perfect arc,

At the beginning, we chose the method of casting,

发现这是不可能完成的任务。

but found this is an impossible task.

一个方法无法解决，我们就尝试另一个！

咨询整合行内不同的专家意见，

This method didn’t work, we would try another!

After consulting and integrating of different opinions from many experts in the industry,

只有通过锻造才能实现理想效果。

We found that only through forging can the desired effect be achieved.

不过新的工艺，也带来了新的挑战。

业内人士都清楚，

表皮电镀的处理只能在锻造后进行，

但如此巨大体量的装置，

锻造一体后要用多大的电镀炉具？

踏破铁鞋无觅处，搜罗众多厂家，

我们终于找到了最为顶尖的资源，

However, the new technology also brings new challenges.

What the expert knows is that,

The treatment of skin plating can only be carried out after forging,

But such a huge installation,

how big is the electroplating stove was needed after forging?

There was no way to find this, but after asking many manufacturers,

we finally found the most top resource,

全广东省最大的电镀炉。

The largest electroplating furnace in Guangdong Province.

有了可靠的技术硬件支持，

细节把控上也要精益求精，

With reliable technology and hardware support,

we should still strive for the perfection in detail,

多次打样才确定表皮拉丝效果。

Several samples were needed to determine the effect of skin wire-drawing.

最后这个装置的命名，

也是经过多个方案的筛选。

有人叫它“栗子”，有人喊它“大金牙”。

而我们最终赋予它“秋实”的名字，

那是因为

At last, the name of this device,

was determined after the screening of many options,

Some people call it “chestnut”, some call it “big golden tooth”.

But we finally determined the name“Seed”

That is because that

它是一个关于时间的精神符号。

It is a spiritual symbol about time.

前前后后共五个月，

起初我们想创作一个以时间为主题的作品，

最后发现除了美好的成果，

研发的过程本身也就是时间历练后的结晶。

It took a total of five months,

At first, we wanted to create a work with time as the theme,

But finally we found that besides the satisfactory results,

the R&D process itself is the crystallization of time.

这是延续，是栗子，更是秋实。

This is a kind of continuation, a chestnut, and even more “Seed”.

2020年，秋实升级成2.0版，

我们研究锻打锤纹，表面增加喷砂处理。

In 2020, “Seed” was upgraded to version 2.0,

We studied forging hammer patterns and added sandblasting to the surface.

历时465天，

After 465 days,

从广州时代风华，来到成都时代天境售楼部。

From Guangzhou Times Fenghua, to the sales department of Chengdu Times Tianjing.

秋实2.0，从室外走进室内。

Qiu Shi 2.0, from outdoor to indoor.

  朴实无华的外表，

却承载着生活的沉淀、

种下一颗种子，

希望你还是和孩子一样的开心与期待、

未泯的童心再次怀抱你。

Unpretentious appearance,

bears the precipitation of life,

plant a seed,

I hope you are still happy and full of expectations as you were a child,

The remaining childlike heart embraces you again.
