“西干渠”景观工程，现名“西川”，位于郑州市中牟县大孟镇，全段31公里，改造前周边农田已大部分荒废，地势平坦，水体表面漂浮大量的农业生活垃圾、枯枝杂草等。渠道基本不具备水生态系统，自身净化能力较弱，水体总体呈富营养化趋势。

"Xiganqu Canal" Landscape Engineering is now known as "Xichuan". It is located in Dameng Town, Zhongmou County, Zhengzhou City, and is 31 kilometers long. Before its reconstruction, most of the surrounding farmland had been abandoned, and the terrain was flat. Water surfaces were covered with floating agricultural household waste, weeds, etc. This canal had no water ecosystem. The purification level of this canal was weak and waterbodies exhibited eutrophication tendencies.

经过生态修复的西干渠，能缓解雨洪问题，具备自身净化能力，其水体质量达到三类水标准。能让生物种群栖息，为市民创造更多娱乐休闲的场所，并提供更多亲近大自然的机会。

Following the ecological restoration, Xiganqu Canal is capable of alleviating floods. With its purification ability, water quality in Xiganqu Canal went up to the third class for water standards. Also, many biotic species can be found here. In this way, the Xiganqu Canal created recreational spots for the public and provides more opportunities for humans to get close to nature.
