Alcacer do Sal是一座历史悠久的城市，优雅地坐落在萨多河的北岸。大约在19世纪初，一条石堤重塑了河岸，形成了一条长廊，这个社区的大部分市民生活都围绕着这条长廊展开。随着时间的推移，这条河堤逐渐衰败，交通拥挤、铺装破旧、停车难、照明不良，严重影响了它的旅游甚至是地方吸引力。

Alcacer do Sal, is a time-honoured city gracefully encrusted on the north bank of the Sado River. Around the turn of the 19th-century, a stone embankment reshaped the riverfront and formed a promenade around which most of the civic life of this community evolves. Over the years, this embankment degraded, with excessive traffic, rundown paving, abusive parking and poor lighting, seriously compromising its touristic and even local attractiveness.

PROMONTORIO设计事务所在公开的国际竞赛中获胜，包括了一个雄心勃勃的城市滨河改造和复兴项目，涉及多个不同的项目，包括铺装设计、停车位、照明、街道设施、凉棚和栏杆，此外还有一个新的旅游中心大楼、一个幼儿园和一所成长中的学校。

The project won by PROMONTORIO on the outcome of an open international competition,comprises an ambitious renovation and revival of the city’s riverfront involving a number of different items, including the including paving design, parking, lighting, street furniture,pergolas and railings, in addition to a new tourism centre building, a kindergarten and arowing school.
