Introduction

The work is defined by a series of lightweight structures that shepherd the users of the area, located in the Regional Park of the Mincio, through a path of historical, cultural and environmental interpretation, which can enhance aspects of excellence in the area of the lower course of the river. The realisation of the architectures provides for the establishment of centers of interpretation which have as their main cultural attraction the figure of the Roman poet Virgil and the integration of his poetry with contemporary river landscape.

Project

The rest areas are configured as local landmarks that mark and measure the pedestrian path which has developed along the bank of the river, near the borough of Pietole.

"Courier门"的位置与一条古老的邮路相对应，其垂直结构是由于需要强调地理位置。它位于城市化地区的边缘，其建筑规模在垂直方向上发展，在附近的城市化中出现。它是路线的起点，被设计成墙的形式，由一扇长窗装饰，框住了景观的一瞥，丰富了该地区的游览。

The "Courier door" is placed in correspondence of an ancient post road, and its vertical structure is due to the need to emphasize the geographical position. Placed at the edge of an urbanized area and with its architectural scale developed in the vertical, it emerges in the nearby urbanization. It is the starting point of the route and has been designed in the form of wall, adorned by a long window that frames a glimpse of the landscape; through didactic panels it will be possible to identify the profiles of remarkable places that enrich the excursions in the area.

The "Forte door" identifies a crossroads and marks the presence of the nearby fort of Pietole from which it takes the figures of the ramparts. It is defined either through explicit reference to the geometrical figures, but also through the relationship with the soil. The pointed shape incorporates the silhouettes of ramparts and, like the fortification, interacts with the ground using various heights to define their own functions.

"Bucoliche门"是诗人维吉尔在《Eclogues》第七节中描述的景观片段上的一个隐喻性框架。该结构刻意降低了视觉冲击力，符合景观的形态起伏。小河流的山脊现在是农业景观的一部分，但代表了对古代河水自由流动的记忆。

The "Bucoliche door" is a metaphorical frame on a landscape fragment described by the poet Virgil in Canto VII of the Eclogues. The structure is deliberately low visual impact and fits the morphological undulations of the landscape. The minor fluvial ridges are now part of the agricultural landscape but represent the memory of the free flowing waters of the river in ancient times.

“Georgiche门”位于古Gonzaga court“The Virgilian”的前面，建筑的目的是庆祝自然和人类作品之间的平衡，正如Virgil所唱的。该建筑确定了别墅古花园上的透视锥，并定义了一个受保护的休息座位，结合了堤防结构和地面上发现的古坡道。

The “Georgiche door” is located in front at the ancient Gonzaga court "the Virgilian", the architecture is intended to celebrate the balance between nature and man's work as sung by Virgil. The architecture identifies a perspective cone on the ancient garden of the villa and defines a protected seat for resting, integrating the embankment structure and the grounds of an ancient ramp lifts detected on the ground.

“Travata门”位于20世纪早期的一个抽水站的对应位置，它被认为是一个典型的地方，讲述了人类承诺管理水的自然元素的千年工作;通过这种不断的努力，我们今天所熟知的景观才得以定义。休息区依其形态靠在堤岸结构上。材料的选择是由于它们能够抵御洪水，同样的原因，结构是可移动的，已经在实验室的一个支撑结构预制上面组装。

The "Travata door" is located in correspondance of a pumping station of the early years of the twentieth century, it identifies as an exemplary place and tells the millennial work of man pledged to govern the natural element of water; through this constant commitment is defined the landscape as we know it today. The rest area leans on the embankment structure following its morphology. The materials were chosen for their ability to withstand the flooding of the river, for the same reason the structure is removable having been assembled in the laboratory above a supporting structure prefab.
